What I Offer
It takes courage to examine your own life. We have so many opportunities to distract ourselves from what really matters in our lives and we are often tempted to substitute authenticity and knowing ourselves for entertainment and diversions.
Ours is the age of constant activity and business but often without the needed rhythms of self-reflection and examination. Doing the hard work of self-examination can then open up new possibilities for life, allowing you to set conscious goals, name desires, and establish a plan to move towards who you are made to be.
I believe that all people can experience healing and improvement, but this is done through connection and relationship to one another.

How therapy can help you?
Examined Life Counseling’s guiding philosophy is that growth and healing come in the context of healthy relationships.
At Examined Life Counseling we focus on building supportive, trusting relationships with clients who are empowered to do the hard work of self-examination and choose to live authentically.
It takes courage to examine one’s life and often we need another person who is willing to journey with us on that path. Many experience anxiety, depression, and the effects of past traumas that fragment our lives, making it harder to live whole integrated lives and we are sold promises of quick fixes and “life-hacks” for complex and difficult problems.
Our society affords us many opportunities to choose the path of least resistance, investing in entertainment and self-indulgence over meaningful work and relationships.
Examined Life Counseling doesn’t offer short cuts or three easy steps to personal flourishing, but we do promise to treat you as a unique and valuable person from a holistic perspective: mind, body, and soul.
